Repair of Hwy. 87 Does anyone know how long it will take TX Dot to repair and/or rebuild Hwy 87 and the Ferry Landings? Does anyone know how long it will take TX Dot to even think about repair and/or a rebuild? It seems this would be the first step in the recovery process.
How will the army of insurance adjustors associated with this storm gain access to the peninsula?

Re:Repair of Hwy. 87 TXDOT is already on it. They have already designated funds for the repair of the rollover bridge. The Ferry is running for the use of the equipment that they are using to get the subdivision roads cleared now since they have already cleared hwy 87. The damage to the bridge is even in the substructure. Judge Yarborough is meeting with them daily.

Re:Repair of Hwy. 87 That is good news. I hope we are able to get there soon. For those of us whose houses are still standing and who were also covered by flood insurance, the standard time allowance (unless extended) for filing proof of loss is only 60 days from the occurence. That means we must have bids ready to submit by November 12/13 !
